Darley Dale scorers:-
Tibshelf turned up
without four key players of the new and improved young side. Darley broke
the deadlock after 50 seconds then adding another in 2min 30 seconds.
After
Tibshelf decided to wake up after a bad start, the youngsters decided to
play football and show the speed and skill of the team when Danny Bacon
slotted one back for Tibshelf. Not long after the home side equalized through
Jord Adams leaving the score 2-2 at half time.
Tibshelf
came out at half-time with the wind behind them and carried on were they
left off with Bacon scoring his second of the game putting the home side
in the lead, shortly after Darley Dale scored an own goal making it 4-2
to tibshelf.
The
home side knew that 4-2 was not a comfortable lead against a good side like
Darley Dale who battled till the end, it soon showed as Darley got there
third of the game from a long throw.
Wth
both teams battling for the next goal Tibshelf's defence did very well and
manage to hold the lead giving Tibshelf the three points they needed.
The
score could have been increased by both sides but both keepers were determined
not to let that happen.
Overhall
a fantastic effort from the 12 lads. Tibshelf had with John Hart getting
the Man of Match but all credit to Darley Dale who put everything into the
game with a great effort from both sides, which made this game very enjoyable
to watch and play.

Hilcote scorers:-
Holloway went into
the game in high spirits, determined to get their season on track following
Wednesday's defeat to Kings Arms.
The
home team went 1-0 up in the first five minutes, Shaun Bott beating the
off-side trap before rounding the keeper and slotting home.
Complacency
then seemed to set in and Holloway went 3-1 down before Bott scored again.
Hilcote
added another to make it 4-2 at half-time and were quickly out of the traps
in the second half and quickly made it 5-2 to seemingly put the game beyond
the hosts.
Karl
Whitford then struck a delightful free-kick into the top right hand corner
to make it 5-3 before Holloway collapsed and conceded another three to make
the final score 8-3.
Ex-Holloway
keeper and clubman Tom Mourbey was among the scorers for Hilcote. Hilcote
Man of the Match went to Holloway's Bott.
